The 80 S type of ribosomes are found in eukaryotic cells. Whereas the 70 S type of ribosomes is found in prokaryotic cells. Nostoc is a genus of blue-green algae and a photosynthetic cyanobacterium. Thus, Nostoc is prokaryotic in nature. The ribosomes found in Nostoc are 70 S type.
